ABOUT ME

Lawyer and Founding Partner of Méndez + Cortés, S.C., has a practice of over 15 years in the Intellectual Property area, primarily in patents, trade secrets, trademarks, domain names, sanitary registration and litigation in all areas of Intellectual Property. He is currently Vice-coordinator of the Committee of Industrial and Intellectual Property of the National Association of Corporate Lawyers, Bar Association, (ANADE), position that has held during the bienniums 2007-2008, 2009-2010, 2013-2014 and 2015-2016. He is member Board of Directors of the Mexican Association of Professionals for Health Regulation (AMEPRES) and Vice-Counsel of this Association. Furthermore, is member of the Board of Advertising Analysis of the Ethical Advertising and Self-Regulation in Mexico (CONAR). Mr. Cortés contributed in the new reform on the IP Law in Mexico, regarding the new opposition system and is very active in the process of regulatory issues, particularly in connection with distinctive denominations and patents. Member of the Indigenous Rights Committee at INTA (2016-2017) He has been a speaker about Industrial Property issues in several national forums.
