ABOUT ME

Accomplished Innovation Management, Technology, and Intellectual Property executive with more than 25 years of experience in engineering, R&D, business development, marketing, professional services and Intellectual property management with a demonstrated focus on total cost of ownership and efficient process management. Dr. Kadaba spent approximately half his tenure at UPS as Director of Global Innovations. His experience spans a wide variety of IP topics, including Strategy development at corporate and business unit-levels to support innovation goals. He was one of the most prolific inventors at UPS, receiving over 50 issued patents and over 100 pending applications. His patents protect innovative products that today generate over $5 billion in revenue annually for UPS, and address inventions in areas such as e-commerce, AI, automated package handling, logistics, environmental sensors, IoT and identity validation. Currently, at ipCapital Group, a boutique strategy consulting firm focusing on the strategic use of intellectual property (IP) and innovation, Dr. Kadaba will be serving as a Senior Advisor to global clients seeking to develop and execute IP strategies. Dr. Kadaba holds a Master's Degree and Ph.D. in Computer Science from North Dakota State University. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University, India and has also received an M.B.A. He also has a Master of Jurisprudence in Intellectual Property Law.
