ABOUT ME

During my period in the Attorney Generals Department I have appeared in both civil and criminal courts right across the country. This included being the Attorney General's representative civil counsel for the provinces of Central (Kandy), Uva (Badulla), South (Galle) and Criminal High Court sessions in the High Courts of Embilipitiya, Monaragala and Matara.In all 4 plus years in the Civil division and 3 years in the criminal division. n this background I believe that I could safely say with confidence that I am confident in being able to handle any civil or criminal matter or indeed to appear in any court, tribunal or forum. I wish to be a part of the new generation of lawyers who believe in using Law as a means of social change in this Information Technology age. Thus unlike your typical mechanic with a few tools for any given problem a lawyer should be a versatile problem solver who finds solutions to the issue at hand. For this purpose he should be equipped with the ability to creatively think out of the box and make the best out of the limitless resources that are available.
