ABOUT ME

Ms. Vatsala Singh Hasan is a Registered Patent And Trademark Attorney. She holds Masters Degree in Science from India’s top ranked, Banaras Hindu University (B.H.U.) Varanasi. She also holds degree in Law. She is registered to practice before Indian Courts as well as Patent, Trademark, Design, Copyright and Geographical Indications (GI) Office. She is an IP expert with about 21 years of professional experience dedicated to Intellectual Property Rights and industry. Since past many years she has been involved in handling Intellectual Property matters for Indian and overseas clients. Since past many years she has been actively involved in handling various patent matters like prior art search, drafting and prosecution of patent applications, infringement analysis, handling IP queries, IP due diligence, IP watch and monitoring, deadline compliances, preparing Indian and PCT applications, preparing and filing formal patent documents, renewals, IP asset management and other contentious and non-contentious patent related matters. In addition to the patent matters, she has additional responsibility of being in-charge of Firm’s trademarks team and she has been the key resource in the Firm offering end-to-end solutions for all trademarks related issues including search and advice, filing and prosecution of trademark applications in Indian and various other international and national jurisdictions. She also looks after trademark dispute matters including trademark infringement and passing off matters. She has also been actively involved in delivering lectures & imparting training on IP matters in various reputed educational institutions and has been regular speaker in various national and international events. She is also the author of one course module for Post Graduate Diploma in Technology Management in Agriculture (PGD-TMA 2011), a distance learning program from University of Hyderabad and NAARM Hyderabad.
