ABOUT ME

Harshit is a graduate in LL.B. (Honours in IPR) from Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, specializing in Intellectual Property Laws. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering specializing in Textile Chemistry from Gautam Buddh Technical University. He has worked as a Shift Engineer (Production) with Reliance Industries Limited for one year. He has been working as an Associate in an IP firm and is associated with Patent Prosecution and Patent Litigation team. Primarily, he is responsible for drafting pleadings & other documents, conducting legal research, briefing Senior Counsels and providing assistance in any manner whatsoever is required for litigating the cases, mainly the patent infringement suits. He is also responsible for preparing & filing response to FERs, written submissions to hearing notice and other Office Actions before the Indian Patent Offices. He has been practically exposed to various fora such as Supreme Court of India, High Court of Delhi, District Courts, Patent Office, ITAT and CESTAT. He has acquired significant practical knowledge of Practice and Procedures pertaining to Patents and Trademarks. He is also acquainted with conducting Trademarks searches, preparing search reports, advising opinions thereto, preparing & filing both Indian and International applications for registration of Trademarks, Trademarks Oppositions and response to Oppositions.
