Ajay Kumar Sarkar created his firm because of his passion for entrepreneurship and startups, based on the belief that entrepreneurship is the key to a growing economy and job creation. When he leveraged his more than 10 years of patent law practice to found Xpert-Pro IP Consulting, the goal was to help and support the new business ventures of inventors, emerging companies, innovators, creators, artists, designers, entrepreneurs, small to large companies on their journey to understand, protect, strategize, monetize, enforce their intellectual property (patents, trademarks and copyrights). His patent expertise encompasses electrical, electronics, software, business method, mechanical, semiconductor devices, computer systems, computer networks, telecommunications and automotive technology. Mr. Sarkar also specializes in IP disputes, including patent infringement, trademark infringement, patent invalidation, and trademark cancellation disputes. His sharp mind and commitment to excellence make him an expert in IP and is firmly committed to protecting interests of all of his clients. With 10+ years of experience as a patent agent, he has a thorough understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of the Indian legal system. He has also provided legal services in patent prosecution, re-examination and invalidation, patent infringements, patent administrative and legal proceedings, licensing and assignment of patents and know-how, and other matters related to intellectual property rights. In his role as Director in Xpert-Pro, he oversees overall firm operations & client relations. He works for a wide variety of clients, from individuals to universities and multinational corporations, managing IP portfolios, drafting and prosecuting patent, trade mark and design applications. His goal is to provide advice which is clear and understandable, giving options which ensure that the client remains in control.
