ABOUT ME

Dr. Vishal Anand is an experienced IP professional with 15 years long work exposure to various aspects of Intellectual Property ranging from IP generation, protection, management, and Risk Mitigation. Currently, He is working as IP Head for hydrocarbon business of Reliance Industries Limited. In addition to his current role, Vishal is actively involved into implementation of Reliance Management System / Business Transformation initiatives at R&D and Technology function. He is a Polymer chemist by education. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Polymer Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. On Intellectual Property side, he holds registration as Indian Patent and Trademark Agent. Prior to joining Reliance Industries Limited, he worked in Intellectual Property Department of General Electric Company’s John F. Welch Technology Centre, Bangalore. On academic front, he had opportunity to work as a visiting scientist at Philipps Universitat, Marburg, Germany. His keen interest in research and knowledge sharing has resulted in publication of 15 research papers in the area of polymer technology & intellectual property management along with inventorship in 2 Indian patents.
