ABOUT ME

Yetunde Okojie represents both individual and corporate clients with respect to disputes arising from commercial transactions and intellectual property law. She provides and renders legal advisory services on an ongoing basis to individuals and corporate clients in intellectual property law, database protection, copyrights, patents, e-commerce and registration of trademarks and designs in different jurisdictions, including Ghana, OAPI and Nigeria. She is skilled in drafting franchise agreements, trademark licensing agreements, non –disclosure agreements, deed of assignments, powers of attorney, and other commercial agreements. She is currently a key member of the team that advises a multinational telecommunications/social media company on telecommunications and fiber optic backhaul installations, licensing, rights of way, antitrust and merger and publicity issues in Nigeria. She is a member of the team representing a European Company with significant clout in the new technologies sector in a multi-billion naira lawsuit against a local telecoms giant for intellectual property theft and the misappropriation of trade secrets. She was also a member of the team that successfully negotiated a settlement between a licensed Collective Management Organization and a top multinational telecoms giant for alleged copyright infringement of certain musical works and sound recordings, in a multi-billion naira copyright infringement law suit.
