ABOUT ME

Aman Trehan, Ph.D. is Director-Intellectual Property at Lupin US. He has about 13 years of experience in different leading pharmaceutical companies like Ranbaxy, Zydus, Alembic and Wockhardt. In his previous assignments, he was General Manager-Global Intellectual Property & Strategic Planning at Wockhardt, India. He was head of Intellectual Property at Pharmaceutical Technology Centre of Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd, India. He has undergone various specialized training courses on various aspects of Patent Law in US and Europe. His core areas of expertise include: a) IP Due Diligence of ANDAs/dossiers of solid orals, topicals, pulmonary, transdermals, parenterals, ophthalmics for multiple markets including US; b) Managing patent litigation activities which includes strategizing course of litigation and providing interface and support to outside counsels during lawsuits and minimizing potential risks involved in litigation, managing discovery and depositions; c) Managing global patent portfolio of organization, which includes ensuring legal protection of in house developed technologies and inventions; d) Supporting site in identification of products and FTF opportunities.; e) IP Due-diligence analysis for merger and acquisitions. He has successfully received “Patent Award” for Zydus and Wockhardt from Govt. of India. He has been invited speakers at many international platforms and also in advisory board of many International IP events. He has successfully managed many P-IV litigations for different companies leading to an early entry in market before patent expiry and helped organizations in building a big patent portfolio. He is doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
