ABOUT ME

Mr. Ashok Ram Kumar has experience of more than 25 years in handling IPR issues, covering the broad spectrum of Litigation and Enforcement, Valuation and Prosecution. Armed with a masters in IPR Law, he gives a special focus on Patent, Trademark, Copyright and Design Litigation at various levels from Trial Stage, Appellate Stage and at Supreme Court. He is well known for his ardent litigation practice in IP matters, having appeared before the IPAB in addition to having argued matters in the district and high courts pertaining to Trademark and copyright infringements, and patent violations, and has been highly successful in obtaining injunctions for his various Clients. Having filed more than 4000 Trademark, Copyright and Patent applications on behalf of diverse clients, Mr. Ashok Ram Kumar is highly proficient in the same. In relation to prosecution, matters such as filing of IP applications, prosecuting IP Applications, enforcement through litigation and valuation of IP, Anti Counterfeiting etc. have been handled as well. Additionally, he also has experience in filing and prosecuting international applications in USA, ARIPO, EU, Australia and South East Asia and does IP Audit and vValuations for Companies for their acquisitions, mergers and Annual assessments. Apart from Litigation, numerous Training sessions, lectures and addresses on specific IPR and IT issues for various sectors including business houses, National Institute of Fashion Technology, CII, APTDC, JNU, JNTU and other Government and Non-government Organizations have been headed by Mr. Ashok Ram Kumar. Has been a Member of the AIPPI, and was an Organizing Committee member of AIPPI for the AIPPI summit at Hyderabad, 2017 and is a member of the Intellectual Property Law Practitioners’ Association, India. Is a Member of INTA, and is also a certified Mediator from BIMACC Bangalore with focus on IPR mediation.
