ABOUT ME

Dr. Bharti Jain is a qualified Patent Agent registered with the Indian Patent Office and an Advocate and veterinary doctor by qualification. She has practical experience in various areas of patents including patent drafting, patent prosecution, response to office actions (India, US, EP, Australia, Japan, China, etc.), pre and post grant opposition, FTO search & analysis, patentability analysis, novelty analysis, patent invalidation, patent mapping and landscaping, patent due diligence. She deals in patents across all major fields for Indian and overseas clients with a specialized focus on life sciences, biochemical, medical, medical devices, immunological, herbal, pharmaceutical inventions. Her aim is to help clients put together a system that is designed to create, protect, manage and enforce their IP portfolio. She is also well aware with the laws and issues related to biodiversity and traditional knowledge vis-à-vis patents, which is extremely relevant in the public health and pharmaceutical sector. Previously, she worked with Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi as Senior Research Fellow. There she dealt with life science related patents, issues relating to data protection and drug affordability in India.
