ABOUT ME

Founder and managing partner of Babaria IP & co. She leads a team of patent attorneys and agents handling all aspects of patent and legal matters related to the pharmaceutical areas. Before founding Babaria IP & Co., was heading a patent division at Aston Research Limited, Intas Pharma group including Biotech and API division. While there, set up a fully operational patent department with internal capabilities to file and prosecute patent applications globally. Also while there, led the legal effort to bring ANDA drug products to the market. Team supported the company's effort to protect and defend the research and ANDAs. Provided many Paragraph – IV molecules / formulations with strong defensive arguments to establish the company in First to File (FTF) list to achieve 180 days exclusivity. Prior to working with Astron Research Limited (Intas Pharma), worked with Torrent Research Limited. Filed many patents for Torrent Research Limited. Had increasing levels of responsibility and leadership roles spanning more than 15 years in the field of patent as a patent agent responsible for filing and prosecuting patents worldwide. Also worked as trainer for IP management in the leading pharmaceutical company, professional staff and academic institutes. Also working as a scientific advisor at an international patent law firm. On 1 April, 2014, was announced as Client Choice Award winner for 2014 from India in the field of patent.
