ABOUT ME

I hold a law degree from University Santo Tomas in Bogotá and was admitted to practice law in Colombia in 1992. I am specialized at University de los Andes in Bogotá in commercial law and I have been an expert of the Chamber of Commerce in Bogotá for mediation and alternative methods of dispute resolution since 2004. Before joining von Bila – de la Pava – Bertoletti I worked many years at the Intellectual Property Law Department of big Colombian law firms, including Cavalier Abogados and Prieto Carrizosa. Since 2007 I lead the Intellectual Property Law Department at von Bila – de la Pava – Bertoletti and advise companies especially in trademark, patents and copyright issues before the Superintendence of Commerce and Industry (Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio). During my practice I gained broad experience in advising domestic companies in regulating their data protection issues and adapting foreign data protection regulations to Colombian law and Colombian standards.
