ABOUT ME

David acts for UK and overseas biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients, as well as SMEs and academic institutions in all matters patent matters including: patent drafting, international prosecution, freedom to operate, oppositions and appeals. He has extensive experience of drafting patent applications for a wide range of technologies pertaining to the field of biotechnology, and is experienced in multijurisdictional prosecution, especially before the EPO, USPTO and Chinese SIPO. Building on his in-depth knowledge of biochemistry much of the patent work he performs relates to peptide and enzyme biotechnology, including its application in the food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as plant biotechnology and associated rights such as Plant Variety Rights. David also has experience of matters pertaining to Supplementary Protection Certificates.
