ABOUT ME

Dr Dong, Hao (Donnie) has over 13 years of experiences in advising and teaching IP, IT and internet laws. He assists clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters in China and Hong Kong. Dr Dong's practice covers most aspects of intellectual property and internet laws: copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, unfair competition, data privacy and internet governance. In particular, he is specialized in digital copyright, e-commerce and internet-related issues. Most of his clients are from the internet intermediary, entertainment contents, toy, fashion, pharmaceutical and other creative industries. Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie, he worked at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University as a fellow. He had also worked as a teacher of law schools in prestigious universities in China. He has qualified to be a lawyer since 2001 and has been active in private practice since 2005 with a reputable Chinese law firm.
