ABOUT ME

Seemantani Sharma is Media, Broadcasting, IP & Regulatory Lawyer at the Asia – Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) , the world's largest broadcasting union of the world. At the ABU, she closely works with national governments of the APAC region in securing an international treaty for the protection of broadcasting organizations. She is also involved contract negotiation and drafting for in procuring and exchanging content rights with broadcasters/distributors/international federations/news corporations. She has widely consulted to national governments on media, broadcasting and media matters. Her writings have been widely published in prominent national and international journals such as the Journal of Intellectual Property & Practise (OUP) and online web journals such as the Wire, the Economist and the IP Slate. Her work has been cited in Stanford's blog and in Code4Lib Journal, the leading journal on Library Science in North America and Canada. She holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from the George Washington University Law School while her Bachelor of Laws are from India.
