ABOUT ME

Aravind K J is currently working as Assistant Commissioner, IPR (Intellectual Property Rights)`at Geographical Indications Tagged World Premium Products Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, India. Before that he worked in various organizations such as Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden & Research Institute (JNTBGRI), Trivandrum; Worked as Project officer (IPR) in Kerala State Council for Science Technology & Environment (KSCSTE), Trivandrum; Research Associate (RA) in Zonal Technology Management- Business Planning & Development Unit (ZTM-BPDU), South Zone at ICAR-CIFT, Cochin; Research Associate (RA) in Institute Technology Management Unit (ITMU) at ICAR- National Research Centre for Banana (ICARNRCB), Trichy. He is having more than Six years of experience in the vivid arenas of Intellectual Property Rights. He made more than 25 presentations as an invited speaker related to IPR in various National & International Workshops and Seminars. He completed his Master’s Degree in Bionformatics from University of Kerala, BSc in Biotechnology from University of Kerala, did various courses on Intellectual Property Rights from World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) headquartered in Geneva, PG Diploma in IPR from IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University). He filed and handled numerous IPRs such as Patents, Trademarks, Copy Rights, Designs etc. He represented India in the training programme related to IPR held at Vienna, Austria in 2014. He is an IPR consultant and a Trade Marks Attorney. He is also an empanelled Trade Marks Attorney for Start Up India initiative by the Govt. of India.
