ABOUT ME

I obtained a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and entered the intellectual property (IP) industry in 2004 and subsequently became a registered Singapore patent attorney. Later on I went on to obtain my LL.B from NUS and got called to the Singapore Bar. Currently, my portfolio of clients is diverse and spans MNCs, high-end fashion labels and technology start-ups. My main practice areas are in IP law and information technology (IT) law and includes both contentious and non-contentious matters. On the contentious side, my practice includes regular court work, as well as arbitration proceedings before the ICC, SIAC and WIPO in respect of both IP and IT disputes. In particular, I am privileged to have been involved in a number of patent infringement and revocation proceedings, as well as interlocutory proceedings ancillary thereto. For non-contentious matters, I have advised on IP and IT-related transactions, including the preparation of patent infringement and invalidity opinions, patent licensing agreements, product distributorship and/or franchising agreements, and services agreements particularly for technology start-up and app development companies. I also speak at IP seminars and am currently on the IPOS Examination Committee assisting in the conduct of qualifying examinations for patent agents.
