ABOUT ME

I am a registered Indian Patent Agent (IN/PA/1987) and have been working for almost eleven years in the area of Patents, supported / supporting the R&D units (Biotechnology Division) of Companies such as Panacea Biotec, Intas Biopharma, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Fresenius Kabi and Biological E Limited. Prior to starting work in the field of patents, I studied Biotechnology and spent two years working in a research lab at TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute; New Delhi formerly known as Tata Energy and Research Institute). My work involves providing support (patent related matters like FTO Studies, Infringement Analysis, Patent-ability Analysis, Drafting of Patent Specification which includes Priority and Complete, Patent Prosecution, Patent Due Diligence, Communication with Foreign Patent Attorneys, Technology Licensing etc.) to R&D units for Novel Biologics (Mainly Antibodies and Vaccines) as well as Biosimilars (Mainly Antibodies, Proteins, Recombinant Peptides etc.), in the following areas: • Target Evaluation • Antibody Engineering • Cell Line Development and Protein Expression • Upstream Process (Fermentation Technology and Cell Culture Process ) • Downstream Process (Purification Techniques) • Protein/Peptide/Antibody Formulations / Formulation Process • Vaccines (Recombinant Vaccines, DNA Vaccines, Epitope based Vaccines, Sub- unit Vaccines, Conjugated Vaccines, Polysaccharide based Vaccines ) I conclude saying that am passionate and can work efficiently on recombinant products in the field of patents.
