ABOUT ME

Donald L Boreman is founder and president of Global Patent Transactions LLC (GPT), a leader in high-value patent transactions. Mr. Boreman has an impressive 20-year track record in global IP management, licensing and patent sales, and has assisted more than 25 Global 500 clients with the development and implementation of IP strategies. For example, Mr. Boreman assisted a single client receive more than $100 million from patent sales while concurrently fortifying the client’s ongoing licensing program. Before launching GPT, Mr. Boreman co-founded ICAP Patent Brokerage. Rapid financial success led to ICAP’s acquisition of Ocean Tomo’s patent transaction and live-auction business two years later. Before ICAP Patent Brokerage, Mr. Boreman was part of the initial management team which created ThinkFire Services. Mr. Boreman served as executive vice president and general manager. Before joining ThinkFire, Mr. Boreman was the director of licensing for Lucent Technologies, managing an international team whose region generated Lucent’s greatest return, accounting for over 45% of Lucent’s total IP revenues, which exceeded $500 million annually. Mr. Boreman has provided IP consulting services to the Japanese Patent Office, served the US courts as an expert witness and provided consulting services to numerous high-tech companies regarding best practices.
